Evan CO#1
Today I observed Felicia Ciappetta's Group 4A reading class. She started the class with a review of what they covered on the previous day. She would emphasize important words and ideas during this review, with clear pronunciation, and ask students to elaborate on incomplete responses. This class opening lasted roughly 10 minutes. Then, she had the class reread a few pages of an article which they had previously read in full, and asked them to write notes about it using in the Cornell method. This exercise lasted about 30 minutes. Afterwards, the students compared their notes with others. Since it is early in the semester, the class was finished off with a "get to know you" survey on canvas. Felicia led a relaxed and instructive class keeping students focused and involved. When she was not instructing she was walking around observing, or answering questions, of which there were very little.
